Our Philosophy

At Kettlitz Chemie GmbH & Co. KG, we firmly believe that sustainability is not just a trend, but a comprehensive societal development. It involves a thorough, rational examination and an awareness of our obligations towards our environment, our fellow humans, and future generations, as well as the continual adaptation to changing circumstances. For us, sustainability is far more than just a buzzword – it is a philosophy that shapes our corporate culture. As a family-run business, Kettlitz has always naturally taken care to consider future generations, plan proactively for tomorrow, and manage our employees and resources responsibly. Located on the edge of the picturesque Urdonautal, one of Bavaria’s conservation areas that significantly influences the local structure, we are acutely aware of the responsibility that the German economy in general, and the chemical industry in particular, bears – both for the environment and our social surroundings. Together with our employees, partners, suppliers, and customers, we strive to work towards a future that we can already be proud of today. ECOVADIS

As a cornerstone, benchmark, and guide for our sustainability efforts, we rely on ECOVADIS to assess our progress and our continuous improvement efforts, as well as to monitor along our supply chain. ECOVADIS is an important tool for us in communicating with our partners, suppliers, and customers. We are pleased to have achieved the Silver rating in our most recent evaluation in 2024

RESPONSIBLE CARE

As a member of the VCI (German Chemical Industry Association), we are committed to the international Responsible Care guidelines. These guidelines, described by the ICCA (International Council of Chemical Associations), promote a transparent, scientific, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible way of working. The adapted VCI guidelines define a holistic approach to shaping a responsible corporate culture with an evolving understanding of sustainability in Germany.
